The project aimed to restore the river environment in Kathmandu Valley and mitigate water-induced disasters in the middle and lower reaches of the Bagmati River Basin (BRB) in Nepal. It adopts the principles of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) and seeks to improve water security and river health while enhancing flood management. It focused on developing a Decision Support System and a Flood Forecasting and Early Warning System contributes to improving flood management and water resource planning in the Bagmati River Basin.
